De geselecteerde film is 'Die Another Day', de 20ste James Bond film. De filmvoorstelling dient ter ondersteuning van The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fonds.
Producenten Micheal G. Wilson en Barbara Broccoli zijn uitermate verheugd met de komst van de Koningin: “James Bond is the epitome of all things British. We have enjoyed making the films in England and having the opportunity to work with such brilliant technicians and artists. We are incredibly proud that this event will be held at The Royal Albert Hall in aid of such a worthy benefit for the British film community.”
Het is niet de eerste keer dat James Bond koninklijk bezoek krijgt. In 1981 waren Prins Charles en Prinses Diana present op de voorstelling van 'For Your Eyes Only'. Legendarisch was het bezoek van het koppel aan de filmset van 'The Living Daylights' in 1987. Acteur Jeroen Krabbé overtuigde toen Prinses Diana om een fles kapot te slaan op het hoofd van haar echtgenoot. Het voorval haalde zonder enige moeite de voorpagina van de Britse tabloids.
De volledige cast van 'Die Another Day' zal op het event aanwezig zijn.
